According to the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Panama has received a total of 1,212,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Panama received at dawn this Sunday 163,200 new doses of the
vaccine against
covid-19 developed by the pharmaceutical
AstraZeneca.
With the arrival of this eighth shipment,
AstraZeneca fulfills the delivery of one million doses agreed with Panama.
Foreign Minister
Erika Mouynes reported that Panama is the first country in Latin America to receive all the doses agreed bilaterally with this pharmaceutical company.
According to the Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI), Panama has received 1,212,000 doses of the
AstraZeneca vaccine between the
Covax mechanism and the bilateral route.
In the country, the
AstraZeneca vaccine is applied to men and women over 30 years of age on a voluntary basis.
According to the latest EPI report in Panama, 5,175,291
vaccines have been applied nationally, including first and second doses of
Pfizer and
AstraZeneca.
From the pharmaceutical house
Pfizer, 4,435,065
vaccines have been applied, while 740,226 doses have been placed from
AstraZeneca.
