A total of 5,433 people have entered Panama from last Monday the 12th to this Friday, October 16, after the reopening of the Tocumen International Airport.
The Ministry of Health (
Minsa) reported that in this same period, a total of thirteen people have been detected who have tried to enter Panamanian territory without the respective tests that are required to rule out the suffering of
COVID-19.
The detection of these people shows that the established controls are working, highlighted the head of Health, Luis Francisco
Sucre.
The
Minsa emphasizes that currently every person who enters the country is obliged to present a negative test for
COVID-19 with a minimum of 48 hours and in the case of not having it, the person will have to take one at the authorized posts at the Airport for this purpose at a cost of $50.
It reiterates that the requirement of tests is part of the actions taken to protect the users of the facilities of the entry points to the country, the crews of the ships, as well as the workers of the airport.
