554 detained in 24 hours for breaching quarantine
During the last 24 hours, a total of 554 people were detained for breaching the Executive Decree that establishes absolute quarantine in Panama.
Of the total of those apprehended, 554 are adults, and 20 minors.
13 taxi-type vehicles and 41 private cars were towed after their drivers left the cars for days or long hours and did not come to move them.
Another 10 vehicles were returned in the different sanitary fences, for not keeping the documents requested for circulation.
The authorities indicated that they will continue with iron-clad operations nationwide and call on the population to stay home to mitigate COVID-19 infections nationwide, a virus that has killed at least 225 people in Panama.
