El secretario interino de Seguridad Nacional arribó esta tarde al aeropuerto de Panamá Pacífico

Acting Secretary of the US Homeland Security arrived in Panama

This Sunday afternoon, the Acting Secretary of the United States Department of Homeland Security, Chad Wolf, arrived in the country aboard the Gulfstream 550 aircraft from Washington, which landed at the Panama Pacifico Airport.
It was announced that Wolf's presence on Panamanian soil is due to the meeting he will hold with his regional counterparts to discuss broader security issues that affect the region.

Wolf will hold a meeting with the Minister of Public Security, Juan Manuel Pino, to initiate discussions on current and future areas of cooperation between the United States and Panama .

After this visit, Wolf plans to travel to El Salvador to attend the meeting of the Bilateral Working Group on Migration and will hold a meeting with President Nayib Bukele.

I look forward to my next visit to Panama and El Salvador to address the security problems that affect the region, along with current and future cooperation between the United States and these countries, Wolf said prior to his arrival in the country.

In recent weeks, Panama has received the visit of different figures from President Trump's Cabinet such as: Timothy Shea, acting director of the Drug Control Administration (DEA); Southern Command Commander Craig Faller; the US Undersecretary for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment, Keith Krach; and the Counselor of the United States Department of State, Thomas Ulrich Brechbuhl, who have dealt with issues of security, drug trafficking and regional cooperation.
