At least 200 travelers with Covid-19 have detected the Minsa this month at Tocumen Airport

At least 200 positive travelers with Covid-19 have been detected by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) at the Tocumen International Airport, so far this year.
According to a report from the Ministry of Public Health Directorate, between January 1 and 15, 2020, 221 travelers who entered the country were detected and when the test was applied they were positive.

The last court of cases took place on Friday the 15th and on that date seven cases were registered. The highest amount occurred on January 3 with 29.

Since the opening of international flights last October, the Minsa has accumulated 910 cases detected in travelers and 41,122 tests have been applied.

On the other hand, in the weekly report of tests carried out on passengers who entered the country through the Tocumen International Airport, the Ministry of Health reports that until the last cut 7 passengers were detected positive for COVID-19 and 553 tests were carried out.

At the air terminal, three swab stands were set up for travelers. Whoever does not present their negative test certificate 48 hours in advance when entering the country, must take a test whose value is 50 dollars.

Similarly, the Ministry of Health issued a Decree in which it establishes that Health personnel can apply tests randomly.
