CCIAP questions new "impositions" of the Minsa due to the pandemic

The CCIAP questioned the decisions of the Minsa regarding blended classes and restrictions on travelers from South America.
The Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) questioned the new "impositions" of the Ministry of Health ( Minsa ) for the covid-19 pandemic.

According to the CCIAP, decisions made by the Minsa regarding the gradual return of classes and the measures established for the entry of travelers from South America by the Brazilian variant of covid-19 should be subject to a mandatory comprehensive review of both the situation and its management and consequence of actions.

“The Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) reiterates that we are experiencing a crisis with impacts on the social, economic and health level; Therefore, the Minsa cannot be the only voice that influences the future of the country,” said the CCIAP in its Sunday statement La Cámara Opina.

The CCIAP also questioned the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) for its “silence” regarding the resolution of the guarantees presented against measures taken by the State of Emergency for the covid-19 pandemic.

In this sense, the union asked the State to respect and guarantee the fundamental rights of citizens.
