Cleaner reveals the hidden bit of your toilet that could be causing a bad smell

Cleaner reveals the hidden bit of your toilet that could be causing a bad smell

Sometimes, no matter how hard you scrub, a bit of a smell remains.

And one cleaner says that if that’s the case with your toilet, it might be time to give it a proper deep clean.

She shows how when you take it all apart, it can be a bit grim in all the nooks and crannies.

The Australian woman shared her how-to guide on TikTok, where she posts as posts as @thebigcleanco.

She says: ‘Here’s how a professional deep cleans the toilet.

‘If you have little boys in the house or even big boys and your toilet always smells like a urinal (even after you clean it) this one is for you.’

She starts by unscrewing the toilet seat, to see what is hidden in the section were it connects to the rest of the loo.

‘See why it smells so bad. Yes, that is what you think it is,’ the cleaner says.

Once she can access it, she’s able to give it a good scrub.

Over 740,000 people watched the clip and were shocked by the results.

One said: ‘How does it even get there?’

Another added: ‘Ugh. I’m scared to look at mine now.’

‘OMG. I’m scared to do this,’ someone else wrote.

Others said it’s something they’ve always done as it’s the only way to get it really clean.

‘I thought everyone did this? Wait! Does that make me a professional?’ another fan wrote.

‘I used to have 4 little boys in my home daycare and I had to do this every day,’ someone else said.
