Director of the Idaan has filed 3 criminal complaints and dismissed more than 7 people for administrative misconduct

Juan Antonio Ducruet considered that in government entities there should be self-purification and they need internal processes.
The Director General of the National Aqueducts and Sewers Institute ( Idaan ), Juan Antonio Ducruet announced this Sunday that he has filed three (3) criminal complaints and has dismissed more than seven (7) people for administrative offenses in less than three months in the office.

In the Sunday Open Debate program where the scandals of the Panama Solidario Plan food bags and the clandestine vaccination process were addressed, Ducret said that within the institutions, officials are there to act and need internal processes.

He argued that in the Idaan while the internal investigations are being carried out "when criminal complaints have to be filed, he is obliged to put it, but that does not mean that I will go out to the media to have a party or say that so-and-so robbery or theft.

Juan Antonio Ducruet considered that in government entities there must be self-purification and “there must be mechanisms for strict compliance with public affairs, the pandemic brings out the best in many officials, but unfortunately in society it also brings out the worst in those who try take advantage ”.

Regarding the three criminal complaints filed or dismissals for administrative misconduct in the Idaan, the official explained that these are specific cases that happen within the institution "they can be things as small as theft or losses, one has to guard public property, in an institution out of three thousand people that happens many times a year”.

He clarified that it is not that people are disengaged for administrative offenses or complaints are not filed, "only that they are not publicly exposed while the investigation processes are taking place."
