Debido a las condiciones clímaticas, el Sinaproc levantó bandera roja en las costas del Caribe y Pacífico panameño

Effects of Eta in Panama will generate rains in central, western and eastern regions

The National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) reported that the indirect effects of Hurricane Eta, which impacted the North Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, continue to generate rain over Panama.
According to the latest reports issued by Sinaproc, these collateral effects cause abundant cloud incursions that will generate rains, high accumulations of water in the central, western and eastern regions of the country, until late at night.

These rains will be accompanied by moderate to strong winds.

The following areas are kept under surveillance: Comarca Guna Yala, Darién, Comarca Emberá, Colón, Herrera, Los Santos, Panama, Panama Oeste, Coclé, Comarca Ngäbe Buglé, Chiriquí and Veraguas.

The Joint Task Force (FTC) also maintains surveillance in the coverage areas at the national level, to ensure that citizens respect the prohibition of entering beaches and rivers.

Due to weather conditions, the Sinaproc raised a red flag on the Panamanian Caribbean and Pacific coasts, that is, bathing in beaches and rivers is prohibited.

On the other hand, the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) suspended the departure of smaller vessels and pleasure yachts for the next 24 hours, on both coasts.

The AMP stressed that the restriction may be extendable depending on weather conditions.
