Luis Rubiales: Prosecutor seeks prison sentence for football chief who kissed female player without consent

Prosecutor Marta Durantez is seeking prison time for Luis Rubiales, the ex-football chief, for kissing player Jenni Hermoso without consent after Spain's women's World Cup win.
Rubiales faces charges of sexual assault and coercion following the incident in Sydney. Hermoso, 33, denied the kiss was consensual. Alongside Rubiales, former coach Jorge Vilda, director Albert Luque, and marketing head Ruben Rivera are accused of pressuring Hermoso to claim the kiss was consensual, which they deny.

Durantez is also demanding £86,000 in damages for Hermoso. Despite the charges, Rubiales, if convicted, might avoid jail due to Spanish law on sentences under two years. Rubiales has already faced a three-year FIFA ban for the incident.
