Coronavirus fue el término más buscado en Panamá y el mundo.

Google reveals search trends in Panama for 2020

As well as internationally, also in Panama "Coronavirus" was the most searched term in Google this 2020, along with "Elections in the United States", "Panama Solidario", "Zoom" and "Google Classroom".

Panamanians searched for what the virus consisted of, they wanted to know what its symptoms were and advice for its treatment and prevention, as well as the number of cases.

In addition, they followed the process for the election of the next president of the United States, while the rest of the searches were associated with terms that were born or became popular as a result of the pandemic, such as the government plan "Panama Solidario" or education online.

Searches that included the term "How?" reveal that Panamanians were interested in learning how to make homemade bread and desserts, make cloth masks, and wanted to know how to verify the solidarity voucher.

The story of the girl Mónica Serrano and the death of Kendal Royo as a result of COVID-19, were topics of great interest, while in terms of international personalities, searches on the US presidential candidates and athletes and actors who died this year such as Kobe stood out. Bryant, Diego Maradona, Chadwick Boseman, among others.

In terms of entertainment, Telemetro's Turkish novels Hercai and Mrs. Fazilet and her daughters topped the search list in the novels, series and TV shows category.
