Health Minister Luis Sucre confirmed that in 2021 there will be no carnivals in Panama. This in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, so that all efforts concentrate on the health issue.
There will be no Carnival, let's not think about carnival for now, we are focused on everyone's health, on seeing how we can restore the economy,
Sucre said this Friday in an interview with journalist Álvaro Alvarado.
In 2000, an outbreak of hantavirus caused the suspension of carnival holiday in the Azuero region and central provinces.
Sucre will make full statements on this on Sunday, September 27 in the Open Debate program, which is broadcast by Telemetro from 9:00 am.
