Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has attributed the recent disappointing jobs report to the policies of former President
Donald Trump.
Harris' spokesperson, James Singer, criticized Trump's economic management, citing it as the reason for the current job market troubles and alleging his Project 2025 agenda will exacerbate economic disparities.
The Labor Department's report for July revealed only 114,000 new jobs added and an unexpected rise in the unemployment rate to 4.3%.
This is the highest jobless rate since October 2021 and has heightened recession fears.
While sectors like healthcare and construction saw growth, areas such as information and financial activities experienced declines.
