Sucre indicó que parte del dinero será utilizado para cubrir el pago a personal de apoyo, insumos médicos y sanitarios

Minsa granted $24.9 million budget for fighting COVID-19

The Budget Commission of the National Assembly (AN) approved to the Ministry of Health (Minsa) transfers for $24,917,891.00 for the future acquisitions in the fight against COVID-19.
For the approval of this transfer, the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, supported how the payments would be distributed before the commissioners, and explained that $1.6 million correspond to the payment of the rest of the transitory health personnel hired to attend the National Emergency by COVID-19, which were not covered in the previous record.

Another $2.1 million would be to comply with the commitments acquired in contracts to supply medicines to support nutrition programs such as Ferrous Fumarate and Folic Acid.

On September 14, the Commission approved transfers to Minsa for more than $18 million for payment to administrative personnel, and in August transfers of departure in excess of $8 million were approved to cover the payment of medical personnel hired to attend the pandemic.
