Minsa reiterates that Panama will voluntarily apply the AstraZeneca vaccine

As of April 20, all platforms will be enabled so that they can voluntarily register and request the doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) reiterated that as of April 20, all platforms will be enabled so that people can voluntarily register and request the doses of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine.

Israel Cedeño, regional director, explained that "the available vaccines are Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna, but rest assured that the government always verifies risk, benefit and security is the first".

In this sense, interested men over 30 years old and women over 50 years old may register at https://raisa.minsa.gob.pa, through line 177 and at https://vacunaspanamasolidario.gob.pa so that they can apply their home doses AstraZeneca Pharmaceutical.

Referring to the new AstraZeneca vaccine that arrived in the country through the Covax Mechanism, the doctor and epidemiologist stated that in any investigation the first thing to do is to verify the safety of the product and, of course, if it is efficient."

Panama received last Friday the first batch of 36,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine and is evaluating taking it nationally for greater coverage through the express vaccine.
