Ministry of Labor and Workforce Development (Mitradel) approved the Guide Protocol on Biosafety to cinemas, which was presented by the Motion Picture Industry Exhibition Panama to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
The guide will allow theater owners to prepare and upload their respective protocols to the Mitradel virtual platform Panama Digital, when the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) determines a reopening date.
All movie theater branches must have a health committee that will ensure compliance with the rules and registry of blogs. It will be the responsibility of the Ministry of Health to issue the certification of the Healthy Panama Seal after validation and certification inspections, explains Mitradel in a statement.
It details that each cinema must comply with the following regulations when the reopening of this activity is allowed:
- Temperature taken at the entrance of the establishment for employees, suppliers and customers.
- Daily deep cleaning and disinfection of all high contact surfaces.
- Mandatory use of masks.
- Placement of alcohol gel dispensers in the entrances, consumption areas, as well as soap and other cleaning supplies in the bathrooms.
- Separation of seats, disabling two chairs in between, ensuring distance between people and family bubbles.
- In box offices and cafeterias, limit the distance between customers of two meters and place protection screens in acrylic.
- Control the entrance to the establishment according to the capacity of each cinema.
