Trump is increasingly traveling to key states during the Florida legislative session to strengthen his 2024 presidential lead against Ron DeSantis.
Former President Donald Trump tore into friend-turned-foe Ron DeSantis over fast food on his plane, nicknamed "Trump Force One" this week after a 2024 campaign pit stop in Iowa.

According to Bloomberg, Trump's Davenport, Iowa, rally on Monday evoked a similar tenor to past campaign rallies, with more insults flung at former ally and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Trump is traveling to campaign rallies in battleground states while DeSantis is tied up with Florida's legislative session.

After the rally, while feasting on Kentucky Fried Chicken on his plane, Trump framed DeSantis as disloyal and continued to insist the Florida Governor's political career would not have taken off at all without him, per Bloomberg.

"Right now he'd be working at a law office. Schwartz, Schwartz, Schwartz, and Schwartz. Where's my f——— governor? Where's my governor? Get him over here! He's got 10 minutes or we're gonna fire him. That's what he'd be doing right now," Trump told reporters on the plane while laughing, according to Bloomberg.

Prior to serving in Congress and as Florida's governor, DeSantis went to Harvard Law School and served as an officer in the US Navy with the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps, where DeSantis had been a legal advisor to US Navy Seals.

An early Quinnipiac poll of 1,795 adults suggested Trump is a more popular candidate than DeSantis, as 46 percent of GOP voters said they favor him while 32 percent favor DeSantis, with a margin of sampling error of +/- 2.3 percentage points.

DeSantis' office did not immediately return Insider's request for comment.

As Trump spoke to reporters on his plane, he latched onto the nickname "Tiny D" for the Florida governor. Plates of fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and later, coconut pie, were bussed back and forth by his aides, per the report.

"Remember, this Ron DeSanctimonious would be right now working probably at a law firm or maybe a Pizza Hut," Trump told reporters, according to the report.

Oh ya 1 year ago
Trump is scared of Ron as he should be. The American people are slowly deciding that they do not want a boy man as a President. Trump inherited his wealth and Ron earned his. Trump now says he will clean up government, he had 4 years to get rid of RINOS but all he did is embrace them and all the small hats he surrounded himself with. Trump is now even saying himself and Graham are going to get things done. Graham is a war monger RINO who needs to visit this good friend McStain. Trump had his run years ago and blew it. With all the proven deaths and injuries he has not had the balls to come out and say stop taking the clot shots, his ego is too big for him to admit he screwed up. The Americans need someone better than a blow heart
