The Municipality of Panama reopened all the recycling points located in the different townships of the capital district.
You can find the location of these recycling stations in the Zero Waste application.
What and how to recycle
At these points you receive white paper, stationery and mail, paper bags, magazines or brochures, used notebook sheets, books, notebooks, newspaper and telephone directories.
Also thin cardboard such as cereal packaging, non-laminated notebook covers, empty medicine boxes, cardboard, folders and others. Also thick cardboard such as corrugated cardboard, packaging and boxes for appliances or similar.
Plasticized paper, napkins, masks, toilet paper and food packaging are not received; no egg cartons and soda stands.
At these recycling points, aluminum cans, beverage and food tin are also received; plastic containers # 1 (PET), # 2 (HDPE), # 5 (PP), and tetrapack.
The entity asks that the papers be delivered clean and dry, tied, without stains of oil sauces, or clips, staples, snaps, spirals, and that the boxes be disassembled.
Likewise, they ask that the cans be delivered clean, dry and crushed, and the tin cans have the lids inside the jars.
The plastics and the tetrapack must be crushed and disassembled.
