Panama receives the 'Safe Travels' stamp for complying with the biosecurity protocols against COVID-19

Panama received the Safe Travels stamp, which is granted by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), through which the country is certified as a destination that complies with biosafety protocols with international standards to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Obtaining this stamp granted by the WTTC is an essential element to generate confidence in travelers in the current context, in the process of attracting tourists from different countries; once this sense of trust has been achieved, then we will be able to attract them by reinforcing our strategy of differentiation and innovation, offering authentic tourist experiences, based on our natural and cultural heritage, highlighted the administrator of the Panama Tourism Authority ( ATP ), Iván Eskildsen.

The entity details that it will be granted in Panama to companies and service providers of the tourism industry, through the National Chamber of Tourism (Camtur), in due coordination with the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), and that it is a mandatory requirement that the national protocols established by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel) are first complied with.

Companies must have the approval or the process in process of the committees and biosafety protocols of their company before the Minsa / Mitradel, he emphasizes.

Ernesto Orillac, president of Camtur, stressed that it is important to certify our destination and products with the Safe Travels stamp, since it allows both national and foreign travelers to feel safe when planning their trips to sites that have adopted hygiene and health, standardized worldwide, so they can get an unforgettable and very safe experience.

The ATP adds that the WTTC will publish the list of companies that comply with the standards in its communication channels promoting Panama.
