Panama received the Safe Travels stamp, which is granted by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), through which the country is certified as a destination that complies with biosafety protocols with international standards to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Obtaining this stamp granted by the WTTC is an essential element to generate confidence in travelers in the current context, in the process of attracting tourists from different countries; once this sense of trust has been achieved, then we will be able to attract them by reinforcing our strategy of differentiation and innovation, offering authentic tourist experiences, based on our natural and cultural heritage, highlighted the administrator of the Panama Tourism Authority ( ATP ), Iván Eskildsen.
The entity details that it will be granted in Panama to companies and service providers of the tourism industry, through the National Chamber of Tourism (Camtur), in due coordination with the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), and that it is a mandatory requirement that the national protocols established by the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) and the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel) are first complied with.
