Panama reports 173 new COVID-19 cases and no deaths in 24 hours

To date in Panama there are a total 462,486 patients recovered from COVID-19, according to the epidemiological report of the Minsa.
After reporting a total of 173 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, Panama raised its number of infections to 472,057, according to the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health.

In the last hours, no deaths from coronavirus were reported. There is a total of 7,314 deaths due to this virus in the country. The fatality rate remains at 1.5%.

7,733 new tests were carried out to detect COVID-19, for a positivity of 2.2%.

There are a total 462,486 recovered and 2,257 active cases.

Of the total active cases, 2,068 people are in isolation, of which 1,988 are at home and 80 in hotels; while 189 patients are hospitalized, of them 157 in the ward and 32 in intensive care.

Despite the fact that Panama is in the process of vaccination against COVID-19, the use of masks continues to be essential as they represent protection above 80%.

What do you expect when the majority are now vaccinated? The correct measure of success now has to be reduction in morbidity and death rates

The latest corona news from Germany. From week 36-39 there were 13345 new corona cases in Germany.
53% of them (= 7015) were vaccinated.
