Panama, through the Regional Logistics Center for Humanitarian Assistance (CLRAH), is preparing to distribute the COVID-19 vaccine to all of Latin America, once it is approved by international organizations.
This was confirmed by Alberto Sierra, an executive director of the Ministry of Government (Mingob), who reported that these facilities have 1,200 square meters of cold room, intended for the conservation of medicines and once the CLRAH
vaccine is available. It will be able to become a distribution center in the same way that humanitarian aid has been brought to some 30 nations on the continent in recent months.
The plan is ready and we are just waiting for some
vaccine to be ready and approved by international organizations to support its distribution, said Sierra.
The Center together with the Department of Pharmacies and Drugs of the Ministry of Health (
Minsa) have reviewed all the necessary protocols and trained people to handle this special task.
