Las autoridades decidieron cerrar las playas los fines de semana en Colón para evitar aglomeraciones

People can stay in hotels in Colón but not enter the beaches on weekends

Given the decision of the authorities of the province of Colón to restrict the entrance to the beaches on weekends, the regional director of Health, Edgar Coto, indicated that the beach ban also applies to people who stay in the hotels.
It is not that we have a total quarantine here in the province of Colón, the weekend is not quarantined, people can move freely, they can stay in a hotel, however, the use of the beaches, regardless of whether they are staying in hotels the beaches is prohibited. The security forces will be touring around, said Coto.

He explained the decision to restrict access to the beaches on weekends, it was based on the fact that crowds were being registered as a result of the transfer of people from other regions, as well as the irresponsibility of some citizens in terms of compliance with the rules.

He added that in the same way, during the week the security forces will carry out tours to verify compliance with the regulations on the use of the beaches, detailing that you cannot ingest alcoholic beverages, you cannot be in family bubbles greater than 7 people, and rides on buses and minibuses are not allowed.
