President Cortizo: David, Boquete and Azuero Fairs might happen this year

Given the advance of the anticovid vaccination, President Laurentino Cortizo announced that they see as possible the realization of these fair events for 2022.
The president of Panama, Laurentino Cortizo highlighted this morning that they are studying for 2022 the possible holding of trade fair events in the country.

Cortizo stressed that Fairs such as those of David , Azuero and others have a high possibility of being held, if control over the coronavirus is maintained in the country through vaccination.

"Even on the way from the laboratory to here I was talking with the Governor (Chiriquí) about the possibility that we can have the David fair and it is a high possibility and you all know perfectly how many years I have been at that fair, no only as an exhibitor, but also, and in that matter I do not think it can be held this year: the parade, but the fair there is a huge possibility that with the QR of our card we can have that fair, that of David, that of Azuero and other fairs, but we have to make the effort to get vaccinated, "Cortizo said.

The president asked citizens to advise their friends to get the anticovid vaccine, given the reduction in cases, hospitalizations and deaths that are currently occurring.

And he highlighted figures such as that from January 21 to September 4, 2021, the 2,135 deaths that have occurred, 93% correspond to unvaccinated people, while 3.5% of this statistic had both doses.

It should be noted that in the celebration of the 67th edition of the San José de David International Fair (FIDA), it is expected to take place in mid-March 2022 in the province of Chiriquí. This fair event could contain the participation of 600 national and international exhibitors and would be attended by at least 300,000 people.

The fair lasts 11 days and there are folkloric and cultural activities for all ages. And exhibitions on the latest in the market in the agricultural, agroindustrial, tourist, technological, artisanal, automotive industry and health sectors.
