RT of COVID-19 in Panama decreases to 1.18
The RT or effective reproduction number of COVID-19 cases in Panama decreased to 1.18, according to the Ministry of Health (Minsa).
Last week, the RT was at 1.24; and the one before that in 1.17.
According to the Minsa, only the province of Veraguas and the Guna Yala and Ngäbe Buglé regions remain below 1.0.
With regard to deaths, they indicated that the case fatality percentage is below 1.8%.
As for tests applied to detect COVID-19, it has exceeded 10,000 a day and a positivity of 12.3% has been maintained.
In the last 24 hours, 1,511 new cases were registered, bringing the total number of infections to 179,230.
