Scott Jennings leaves CNN panel speechless as he tears apart Tim Walz's flimsy excuse of being "too dumb to tell the truth."
Jennings swiftly pointed out that “everyone seems to be focused on Trump's and Vance's dishonesty,” but no one is paying attention to Tim Walz, “who gave the most disastrous response I've ever heard in a debate when asked about his dishonesty regarding being in Tiananmen Square.”
Walz had previously claimed he was in Hong Kong during the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests but admitted during the VP debate that he "misspoke" and even called himself a "knucklehead" for the error.
Jennings wasn’t buying it.
“He pulled the same stunt with Dan Bash a few months ago when questioned about dishonesty. Essentially, he's saying, ‘Sorry, I’m just too dumb to tell the truth.’ He even called himself a knucklehead! This is a guy who prides himself on being a schoolteacher and coach. Is that really the lesson he's passing on to the kids under his care?” Jennings asked.
“We spend 99% of our time going down rabbit holes about Vance, Trump, and honesty in campaigns, but we spend zero time holding Walz or Harris to the same standard, and I just don’t get it.”
Jennings wasn’t buying it.
