Sertracen and ATTT enable online service for license renewal and payment of fines

Sertracen and ATTT enable online service for license renewal and payment of fines

Drivers can now carry out license renewal procedures and request a duplicate license without the need to visit the Sertracen office, after they launched a new service through the website.

In addition, it was announced that payment of fines is available through the website: www.sertracen.com.pa.

José Lisac, president of Sertracen, indicated that this project has already been in place for a few weeks and more than 8,000 people have entered to carry out their procedures.

We seek to be able to facilitate all citizens who can drive with their valid license to comply with the law without having to come to our offices, said Lisac. This, as a result of the mobility restrictions imposed by the mandatory quarantine due to the Covid-19 pandemic .

Sertracen has also enabled a "chatbot" or instant messaging service on the website to answer user questions or find out the status of their licenses.

Miguel Alemán Alegría, deputy director of the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT), stated that the objective of this platform is to expedite documentation.

Alemán Alegría indicated that there are currently about 80,000 people with expired licenses, and before the pandemic there were about 50,000 drivers without proper documentation, so the population is invited to carry out the process through the web to avoid future sanctions.

The extension for expired licenses is until August 31.
