$100,000 Trump Watch Faces Slow Sales

Limited edition Trump timepieces struggle to attract buyers despite the former president’s brand power.
Only 147 solid gold and diamond-encrusted Trump tourbillon watches are being offered for sale at $100,000 each.

These high-end timepieces are endorsed by Donald Trump, the United States president-elect, who has returned to the White House after a remarkable political comeback.

However, the watches have seen underwhelming sales since their launch.

The Swiss watchmaker Montrichard, along with David Gouten, a seasoned industry professional, are overseeing the venture.

Despite the promotion efforts, less than 20% of these luxury watches have been sold, as reported by Gouten.

The launch in September garnered international attention, partly due to the steep price and the political associations of the product.

The watches are sold through BestWatchesonEarth LLC, based in Sheridan, Wyoming, though representatives have been unavailable for comment.

Donald Trump has historically licensed his brand across a wide variety of products, including steaks, real estate seminars, and even cryptocurrency ventures.

The tourbillon watch stands out as his most expensive branded item.

These watches, known for their mechanical precision, aim to represent luxury and exclusivity.

To purchase, customers need to verify their identity to avoid political misuse.

Montrichard operates in several regions, including Switzerland, Asia, and the US, and produces timepieces for various brands.

While details about the production and sales of lower-priced Trump models remain undisclosed, CEO Remi Chabrat mentioned that these watches could become highly collectible over time.

Swiss newspaper _Le Temps_ first reported Montrichard's involvement in producing the watches.
