The arrival of the pandemic meant a radical change in the cultural consumption of the population, and the launch of drive-ins is no exception.
One of the drive-ins that will open its doors starting this week is the Autocinemas chain, which has branches in Isla Perico, Costa del Este and in the Market Plaza shopping center, Costa Verde.
Juan Pablo Troncoso, from Autocinemas, said that the pandemic represents an opportunity, since before
Covid-19 they planned to open their doors.
Drive-ins seeks to be in solidarity with the new normal, since we will give 22 restaurants in Isla Perico and six food trucks the opportunity to offer their products to customers in order to pitch in and create direct and indirect jobs, he said.
Drive-in cinemas will not only consist of famous classics from the Hollywood factory, but will also offer a varied selection of Latin American cinema.
Drive-ins also seeks to make a contribution to the dissemination of national cinema.
For its part, Panamax will premiere today a single function - whose tickets have been totally sold out - of the classic Grease by John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John. Box office releases such as Jurassic Park and 1917 are planned soon.
Panamax also has a VIP area and has six different food trucks available to customers to have a wide culinary choice.
When the pandemic situation is alleviated, we will have available terraces and other amenities that make a unique experience, said Jesús Carrera from Panamax.
