The Star Breeze opens cruise season in Panama

It is the first cruise with passengers to arrive in Panama after the Government authorized the embarkation and disembarkation of cruise ship passengers.
The Star Breeze cruise ship, of the American line Windstar Cruises, inaugurated the 2021-2022 cruise season in Panama.

It is the first cruise with passengers to arrive in Panama after more than a year of restrictions due to the covid-19 pandemic, after the Government authorized the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers from cruise ships, mini-cruises, deep draft ships, yachts, mega yachts and yachts for commercial use.

The cruise is commanded by the Panamanian Ricardo Pinzón, reported the Panama Maritime Authority (AMP).

In addition, the cruise ship embarked an officer and 5 crew members at the port of Cristobal, province of Colón.

The WAP indicated that the first officer and the 5 Panamanian crew members were selected to embark upon meeting the required profile, in terms of skills as well as the knowledge of the English language, and they were incorporated into the cruise crew.

The Star Breeze cruise completes a 7-day itinerary in the country, which began on August 26 in Guna Yala, and visited the province of Bocas del Toro on August 27.

Today it arrived at the port of Cristóbal in the province of Colón and this Sunday it will proceed with its transit through the Panama Canal, while on Monday 30 it will be in Isla Flamenco, and then call in Isla Parida in the province of Chiriquí, on September 1.

Then it will continue the navigation to the Republic of Costa Rica.
