The weekend total quarantine to apply in Chiriquí, Colón and Bocas del Toro

Due to the increase in cases of COVID-19 in the provinces of Chiriquí, Colón and Bocas del Toro, the Ministry of Health of Panama ordered that the total weekend quarantine that currently applies to the provinces of Panama and West Panama be implemented.

Due to the increased replication capacity of the virus, and therefore the increasing number of cases, in addition to maintaining the curfew from 7:00 pm, starting this Saturday we will enter a total quarantine, Saturday and Sunday, said Health Minister Luis Sucre.

The official did not rule out further restricting mobility in the provinces according to the number of cases.

The Minsa reported on Tuesday 55,153 accumulated cases of COVID-19 in Panama, and a total of 1,159 deaths from the virus.
