They exempt under 25-year-old from receiving the solidarity bonus

The Ministry of the Presidency announced, through an executive decree, that people under 25 years of age who are financial dependents and people who live with another beneficiary of the Panama Solidario plan, will stop receiving the bonus.
This is detailed in Executive Decree 830 of December 11, 2020.

This second point would mean that the financial aid is limited to a bonus, which is currently $100, per household.

The decree also specifies that as of January 1, 2021, those interested in being beneficiaries of Panama Solidario must request its validation on the platform of this program. It details that the Government Innovation Authority will be in charge of developing the registration methods and mechanisms.

As for the entity in charge of verifying the applications, what is described in the decree is ambiguous. It details that the request must be verified by the different public entities that provide data and approved by the Interministerial Commission.

The Ministry of Social Development (Mides) of Panama clarified that those under 25 years of age whose employment contracts were suspended or have lost their jobs as a result of the covid-19 pandemic, will continue to receive the digital voucher.

The decree establishes that those who fail to comply with the biosecurity regulations established to contain the contagion of covid-19, will not be able to receive the benefits of the Panama Solidario plan.

Nor will beneficiaries be those who have given false information for inclusion, residential customers with monthly electricity consumption greater than 400 kW, people with properties with a cadastral value greater than $250,000.00, who live with a beneficiary of the plan, or those under 25 years economically dependent.
