Algunas aerolíneas han manifestado su intención de reabrir operaciones en Panamá

Tocumen Airport expects to close 2020 with revenues below 60%

The general manager of Tocumen, S. A., Raffoul Arab indicated that for 2020 they foresee the income at below 60% after the closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and also stressed that for the moment the movement of the airlines has been slow.
We are betting that this year we will close below 60%, and we are contemplating a very prudent growth for 2021 because there are many variables that do not depend on us, more than all of our customers, which are the airlines, Arab said.

Arab also pointed out that people will have to get used to the new restrictions when going to an airport and detailed, for example, that the presence of people who are going to send off or receive passengers is no longer allowed in order to avoid contagion of COVID-19.

Among the airlines that have shown interest in reopening operations in Panama, according to Arab, are: KLM, Air France, Turkish, Aeroregional, Wingo and Copa.

On October 12, if coronavirus infections remain low in Panama, commercial aviation will reopen.
