Minsa reitera a la población, reforzar las medidas de bioseguridad y cumplir la normativa contra el COVID-19 para evitar los contagios

Total weekend quarantine lifted in Panama

From 5:00 am on March 6, 2021, the total quarantine was lifted nationwide on weekends, after more than two months of maintaining the measure that was implemented to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
The measure responds to the significant reduction in covid-19 cases in recent weeks, however the curfew remains nationwide from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am

The Ministry of Health asks those who will attend restaurants, shopping centers, beaches, rivers and / or spas with their families, comply with biosecurity measures and regulations against COVID-19.

The head of Public Health in the Metropolitan Region, Lizetta Olivo, recommended the use of sunscreen, a wide-brimmed hat, dark glasses, sunscreen for lips, light-colored and loose-fitting clothing, in addition to hydration.

She stressed that sun exposure should be avoided between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm and sunscreen should be applied every 30 minutes; parents or adults keep watch over children when entering the river, beach or spa to avoid accidents.

Another recommendation is the consumption of fruits of the season, such as watermelon, oranges, melons among others and drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

It should be noted that the prohibition of parties and activities that involve crowds in public, commercial places and of any kind is maintained, in order to mitigate the spread of covid-19.

Until Friday, March 5, Panama registers 343,743 accumulated cases and 5,907 the number of deaths in the country due to the virus.
