NBA Playoffs: Jimmy Butler Injured in Game 2 Against Houston Rockets

NBA Playoffs: Jimmy Butler Injured in Game 2 Against Houston Rockets

Golden State Warriors' star player Jimmy Butler suffers injury in 109-94 loss to Houston, sparking debate over intentional foul
The Golden State Warriors lost 109-94 to the Houston Rockets in game 2 of their NBA playoff series.

The defeat was compounded by an injury to one of their key players, Jimmy Butler, who left the game in the first quarter with a hip injury.

The incident occurred when Butler landed awkwardly on his hip after colliding with Rockets player Amen Thompson.

He attempted to continue playing but eventually asked to be substituted out and did not return to the game.

An MRI scan is scheduled to determine the severity of the injury, which may cause him to miss the next game in the series.

The Warriors' coach, Steve Kerr, downplayed the incident, stating that it was a physical playoff game and that injuries can happen.

He added that the team needs to move forward and prepare for the next game, with or without Butler.

The series is now tied at 1-1, with the next two games scheduled to take place in Golden State's home arena.

Game 3 will be played on Saturday night.
