Bolsonaro, ousted in 2022 and succeeded by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, is under investigation for several allegations including plotting against the government.

Following a riot by his supporters, he had to surrender his passport. Hungarian Prime Minister Orbán publicly supported Bolsonaro, further indicating their relationship.
