Germany's Concerns over Potential Russian Aggression

Germany fears Russia could trigger World War 3, as reported by Bild newspaper. The outlet cites classified German defense documents to assert that Germany is bracing for possible armed conflict with Russia.
These documents suggest a scenario where Russia might extend its military aggression to NATO countries, potentially marking the start of a global war.

Russian officials have dismissed the claims, with a foreign ministry spokesperson equating the report to outdated predictions.

According to the disclosed details, Europe's militaries anticipate a possible Russian attack on NATO's eastern border, which could involve cyber warfare. The scenario, termed "Alliance Defence 2024," predicts imminent escalation and deployment of tens of thousands of German troops.

Bild alleges that with decreasing Western support, Russia plans a "spring offensive" against Ukraine. The report outlines a month-by-month projection of Russian military movements and NATO's defensive strategies.

The leaked documents also mention a September escalation, with Putin possibly conducting a massive military drill with 50,000 troops. Russia might then move forces and missiles to the strategically placed Kaliningrad enclave between Poland and Lithuania.

By the year's end, as the US presidential elections unfold, Russia could exploit the situation to disseminate propaganda and incite violence. NATO is expected to implement "measures for credible deterrence" by May 2025 to counter the Russian military buildup and avert conflict.

Russian news agency TASS sought comments from the Kremlin, which declined to acknowledge the report, labeling Bild's recent publications as "fake news."
